It’s camp season, parents! Yes, I am excited and I’m sure you are too. Who is sending their kids off for a few days (or weeks) of fun and planning to get a little R & R while they’re gone?
I’ve heard so many me, me, me’s that we sound like a chorus.
Well, first thing is first and that’s the camp physical. Every child should have one and most camps actually require them. Fortunately, I was invited to take my daughter in to review the affordable and hassle-free camp physical at the CVS Minute Clinic. Currently, kids can receive a full camp physical for only $39!
Our visit to the Minute Clinic was great, because we didn’t have to make an appointment. We simply walked into the store and completed the self check-in process at the computer kiosk. We saw the nurse practitioner who performed a thorough physical and we were out of the clinic in less than 30 minutes. The nurse even prepared a nice packet of camp physical documents for us to use for our camp registrations.
Regardless of what camp you are sending your child to this summer, the most important thing is health and safety. You will have peace of mind and the camps, although trained in First-Aid, will be better prepared to handle more serious situations if they are notified of pre-existing conditions in advance.
