Walgreens #WayToWell Health Tour Visits DC – $99 #Fitbit GIVEAWAY (CLOSED)

The Chatty Momma Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour (#WayToWellTour) is in the DC area and it’s just in time for folks to head over to receive over $100 in free medical tests. I’ve partnered with Walgreens to visit the tour for myself and went to the tour’s kickoff event at the Greater Washington Urban League on Wednesday. I’m so glad I did. During my visit I received a lot of great health and wellness information and brochures, as well as free medical tests and advice on staying fit and healthy.

The Way to Well Health Tour is provided by Walgreens in partnership with the National Urban League, to provide free health tests, assessments, education and consulting services with a renewed commitment to the everyday health of Americans nationwide.

The health tour’s bundle of free health tests and risk assessments is designed to provide participants with personal health insights that may indicate symptoms and potential risks for cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Tests include total cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism, visceral fat, real body age and body weight*. Collectively the health tests are valued at over $100.

The Chatty Momma Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour Tests The testing was easy and not at all painful. The first test I did was the glucose and cholesterol test, which is administered by a finger prick. The next test was the blood pressure (arm cuff) test followed by a 7-in-1 comprehensive weight analysis. The weight analysis test provided the following results:

  • body mass index
  • body composition
  • skeletal muscle
  • resting metabolism
  • visceral fat
  • real body age
  • body weight
You can imagine my surprise when the test revealed my “real body age” is 31 years old. Not too shabby!

During the tour, not only will visitors learn about how Balance Rewards gives points for healthy choices, but tutorials on how to use fitness devices and digital applications to help track personal health and fitness goals will be conducted. Users of these tools can sync a FitBit or other wearable fitness device to their Balance Rewards account to automatically track their progress and earn points to be redeemed in store.
