How many photos does the average person have just sitting on the computer, on phones, jump drives, or in the Cloud?
My guess is thousands. Hundreds of thousands even. Digital photos turned out to be a game changer for photo lovers. When I was growing up I remember having to go to the shelf to see memories of my life. They were all stored away neatly in photo albums that took up tons of space. I swear my mom had an obsession. My siblings and I had our own albums filled with photo after photo. Everyone did back then. I have several albums of my own now and the rest of the photos are in photo boxes. Nothing current though.
No More Boring Vacation Slide Shows?! #HappyDance
If you go to someone’s house today the only pictures you’ll see are most likely framed on the wall, and all the albums are from the early nineties or before. No one is developing film these days. Since the stores sell digital cameras and every phone can take digital photos, we just don’t need any. This can be good, but also bad.
The good thing is, today’s pictures are a lot nicer than I remember. Now that we have the ability to take digital photos, we take at least 20-50 shots just to get the perfect one. No more pictures of one family member turned the wrong way or little Jimmy picking his nose, right? We can catch the moment before those moments. #Winning
The bad thing is we end up with so many digital photos we rarely edit them down to keep the only perfect shots. It’s nearly a miracle if we ever make hard copies. Folks don’t bother anymore.Who has that kind of time? Everything just sits in a cloud or even worse…they photos take up space on computers and in phones. Ask me how many times I’ve lost my precious memories when my phone has crashed. I’ve died at least a few times. Thank goodness cats have nine lives and I’ve uploaded a few fun memories online I can still see. Some is better than none.
Some Things Last Forever
This is why I’m digging photo keepsake services. I can have my digital photos turned into practical products I use or would give daily. Recently, I tried Magic Memories and I absolutely loved it.
See how easy it is to create a professional quality keepsake photo product with just a few quick clicks.
Instead of letting my digital photos linger in the abyss, I decided to create a few beautiful keepsakes to have and to share forever. Magic Memories has several products to choose from. They have canvasses, photo books, mugs, and calendars just to name a few, and you can pull together your favorite photos to make something to show off your best photos or favorite moments. They all make great gifts. The best part is you have the option to autofill a photo book and you don’t have to worry about having any design skills.
We recently had a family photo shoot with Sugar Rush Photography and our photos turned out beautifully. They were the perfect pictures to create a coffee table album to share and give. So instead of canvas holiday gifts this year, I’m switching it up with photo books. I also love drinking teas and lattes, and I have a mug obsession, so I took the opportunity to create my favorite mug design using our most recent photos.
I love Magic Memories!

I’ve created a few photo books for myself and canvasses as gifts in the past, but this was my first time using Magic Memories, and I am very pleased.
